Restaurant Black Smoke in Rotterdam is a joint not to be missed. It is located in the former company fire station of the iconic Van Nelle factory. Owners Kasper Stuart and Jord Althuizen set up the restaurant out of their great love for BBQ.

After a road trip of 4,500 miles and visiting 40 BBQ joints in the States, they knew for sure: this is it! The smells, flavours and experience they encountered in the authentic restaurants of the American BBQ belt had to be taken back with them. After a blazing start in Antwerp, Black Smoke Rotterdam is the continuation of this adventure. At the Black Smoke restaurant, they mix the discovered American BBQ traditions with local culinary influences for a rock-your-socks-off BBQ experience. The pitmasters tame the fiery flames in their hell's kitchen. Here, they prepare yankee-style 'low & slow' BBQ dishes on wood-fired smokers and 'hot & fast' grill classics on the unique Argentine parrilla grill. The result: mouthwatering good!

How to get there;
The restaurant is easy to reach by public transport. From the hotel, it is a 7-minute walk to tram/bus stop Weena, where you depart from platform A on bus 38 towards Schiedam Centrum Station. Once you have arrived at bus stop Beukelsbrug/Van Nellefabriek* after 12 minutes, it is only a 4-minute walk to the restaurant.
